Vice Presidential Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has narrated that it is tasking to be the VP of Nigeria.

He said he sometimes disagree with the president on policies but trust has kept them going.

He said: “My hair is not this grey. It has been tasking, rewarding and incredible to be the VP. The role is one in which you are the chief adviser of the president. You represent him.
“A lot depends on the trust that exists between the president and VP.

“A good degree of trust is required between the two. The role of the VP requires a great deal of patience because you may not always agree with policies and other things.”

The debate is being organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON).

The organisers had announced that only presidential candidates of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) would be partaking in the debate.

With this, the presidential candidates expected at the debate are Atiku Abubakar, Muhammadu Buhari, Oby Ezekwesili, Fela Durotoye and Kingsley Moghalu.

Omoyele Sowore of the African Alliance Congress; Donald Duke of the Social Democratic Party; Tope Fasua, and a host of others were excluded.

The organiser said the presidential debate will hold on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
