ABEOKUTA – It was an occasion to witness on Saturday 1st December, 2018 at Olu of Odeda palace ground in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State as His Royal Majesty (Oba) David Ishola Olorunshola the Olu of Odeda Kingdom conferred chieftaincy title on some notable indigenes and those who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the ancient town including the Chief Executive Officer of Sparkle Cheery International Consultancy Services, Alhaji (Asiwaju) Nurudeen Dapo Wahab.
Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab who was conferred as Mayegun of Odeda Kingdom and Wife, Alhaja (Chief) Bolanle Dapo – Wahab was decorated as Yeye Myegun of Odeda Kingdom.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Dapo Wahab and wife Bolanle was on Saturday 14th April, 2018 installed as Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Baalesi Land, Ira Gbagura, Abeokuta, Ogun State respectively as a way of celebrating some of their outstanding contributions to the promotion of human, social and economic development of their environment
Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Dapo – Wahab Receiving Royal Blessings
The Chairman of Sparkle Cherry Consultancy Services, Alhaji Dapo Wahab who had Professional Master Degree (Mpm) in Project Management from the Prestigious American Academy of Project Management, United State in 2009. He also obtained certificates in Facilities Maintenance Management and Food Safety Risk minimization from the British Institute of Facilities Management, United Kingdom and University of Maryland, U.S.A. respectively.
He bagged training certificate in Laboratory methods of water sampling Analysis and Environmental Pollution & Control from Nigeria Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, Ibadan.
Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab is a receiver of many awards which include; FUNAAB – SUG Award of Exemplary Leadership, Bode Olude Muslim Community Award of Excellence, Award of Recognition from Opeji Area Community Development Council, Robbil Hizzat Islamic Group Jihad Merit Award, Honourary Fellow Award from Chattered Institute of Commerce, Nigeria, Leadership Award from Nigeria Institute of Supervision & Leadership etc. in recent years due to his selfless services to human race.
Chief Isiaka Popoola was also adorned as Otun Oba, Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Popoola as Erelu Otun, Chief (Mrs) Funmilayo Popoola as Yeye Otun of Odeda Kingdom. Others were Chief Sabitu Iredele (Bada), Chief Ismaila Malomo (Osin Oba), Chief Morufu Yekinni (Soludero), Chief Akeem Bisiriyu (Akogun), Chief Musiliu Akanni (Asiwaju Iyaloja) and Chief Bayo Oduntan as Jogunomi of Odeda Kingdom.
But while adorning the new Chiefs, Oba David Ishola Olorunshola, Olu of Odeda Kingdom charged them to always be good ambassadors of Odeda Kingdom, Ogun State and Nigeria in general by living up to the standards embedded in their titles.
The Olu of Odeda joined by Onijaiye of Ijaiye, Oba Nufiu Adeyemi, Olu of Bode – Olude, Oba Dr. Ebenezer Adeosun prayed for continuous prosperity and peaceful co – existence among Odeda sons and daughters both home and in diaspora.
Other renowned Egba – Odeda Council of Chiefs who also graced the epoch making event include, Chief Titus Oluseye (Olori Oja), Chief Michael Ilori Fniyi (Oganla), Chief Isola Sokoto (Baba Oba), Chief Waheed Odejobi (Amona Oba), Chief Yinka Sodiya (Oluomo), Chief Olugbenro Ogunrinde (Lisemo), Chief Lateef Oso (Bantun), Chief Yusuf Jimoh (Asoku Odo), Chief Taju Abolade (Olori Odo), Chief Adebeso (Babalaje), Chief (Mrs.) Sewand (Otun Iyalode), Chief (Mrs.) Ebunoluwa Bankole (Yeye Oluwo) and Chief Musibau Abegunrin, Ajiroba of Odeda Kingdom.
