GRASSROOTS INDIGENT TALENTS INITIATIVE (GITDI) DONATES 4 TOILET BLOCK TO OGUN STATE PRIMARY SCHOOL

In a bid to give back to the society and enhance the state of living of people living in the community and to facilitate a good learning environment for school children.

A duly registered and accredited Non – Governmental Organization, Grassroots Indigent Talents Initiative (GITDI) on Friday 2nd February, 2018 like it has always done in previous years brought smiles to the faces of pupils of St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Odosimadegun axis of Ijebu in Ogun State.

The Grassroots Initiative is an organization with the sole aim of improving lives of the less privileged and to also provide humanitarian services through the following areas; education, medicals, nutrition and the likes to enhance the living condition of commuters.

The commissioning of the 4 toilet block which commenced at exactly 11:00 GMT at the mini hall of the St. John’s Anglican Primary School was filled to the bream as dignitaries, teachers, GITDI officials, well-wishers and pupils came together to celebrate the joyful occasion.

While delivering his welcome address, the General Secretary of the Initiative, Engr. Jinadu Abdulbaqi said he was glad to be back home as he was an educational product of Mayflower Secondary School, Ogun State.

He also appreciated the support received by the school and thanked the State Government Representative towards making the epoch making event a success.

He indulged the school management to see to that the maintenance of the project was at its peak.

Consequently, the Financial Secretary of the Initiative, Mrs. Babafemi Funmilayo also gave her heart-warming speech on the values embedded in giving and most importantly to the society.

She therefore used the medium and opportunity to call on well and influential country men to come to the aid of the less – privileged in any way they can to help give them the desired face lift.

She reiterated that this act of benevolent would go a long way in adequately helping our community become a better place suitable for living.

In the address delivered by the Honourable Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon. Onafuye. He made known how happy he was to have such a kind gesture bestowed on the people of his local government and used the opportunity to implored also the School Authority to help maintain the blocks of toilet, he adequately thanked GITDI and prayed for continuity of such good heart.

The high point of the event was the official commissioning of the toilet block which was performed by Hon. Onafuye, the Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government after which the project was also inspected by present dignitaries.

The school cultural troupe and choir also trilled the present audience and dignitaries to a lovely performance.

Other eminent dignitaries present at the event were officials from Ijebu North East Local Government, Honourable Adebule, Vice Chairman, Secretary to the local government, Hon. Adegbuyi and Administrative Officer to the Local Government Educational Secretary, Mrs. Oyadele.

Meanwhile, the representatives of St. John’s Anglican Primary School included Mr. Onitilo, Head Teacher, Mr. Adeleke, Assistant Head Teacher, the PTA Chairman, Mr. Adekunle and Ambassador Ayobandele Oyesola, GITDI Representative were also in attendance.
