Oba Oluwafemi Agunsoye, New Elegboro of Ijebu jesa Crowned.

Ijebu jesa which hitherto before now was known and addressed Ijebu Egboro is an ancient town in the east of Osun State, Nigeria occupies a strategic position in Ijesaland and one of the prominent in the region. 

The ancient town gained prominence yesterday 7th November, 2017 as dignitaries from all works of life converged to honour the newly installed Elegboro of Ijebu jesa, His Royal Majesty Oba Oluwafemi Agunsoye during his official presentation of staff of office. 

The new monarch was installed following the demise of Oba Taiwo Aribisala couples of months ago at the age of 88 years.

The Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who was able represented at the occasion by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Kolapo Alimi officially presented the staff of office to the new monarch and in the Commissioner’s remark,  he urged the new coronated King to maintain balance and see to the development of the town and to also make cooperation between the chiefs his Paramount objectives which would enhance and bring further development to the people and the town in general.
